Clinical Research and Development
Responsibilities:
- Carry out diverse laboratory procedures and assist in planning preliminary experimental designs.
- Work cooperatively within and between departments/teams.
- Assist in preparing technical reports/summaries and provide input to interpretation of experimental results.
- Perform two or more techniques: cell culture, virus culture, PCR, plasmid cloning, in vivo analysis, and/or western blotting.
- Troubleshoot general technical problems.
- Record protocols and results in an electronic lab notebook (ELN).
- Use scientific literature to stay current with technologies.
- Attend and present results at department/team meetings.
- May order supplies, maintain inventory, and maintain lab equipment; may order/distribute critical reagents.
- Comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental policies.
Education/Experience:
- BS in biological sciences or related area with 4–5+ years lab experience (or equivalent); MS requires 2–3 years.
- Hands-on experience in cell biology, virology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or immunology.
- Strong technical skills; strong working knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and in a team; present work to a small group.
- Good verbal and writing skills; able to write clear, concise technical reports.
- Organizes work effectively and uses time efficiently.
