Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze in vivo pharmacology and efficacy studies by processing mouse tissue samples for RNA and protein (no direct animal work).
- Execute and optimize workflows for tissue collection, homogenization, RNA/protein extraction, and downstream assays to ensure high-quality, reproducible data.
- Support evaluation of ASO activity on RNA/protein in iPSC-derived neurons.
- Assist in development and execution of biochemical (e.g., ELISA) and/or cellular functional assays (e.g., multielectrode array) for target validation and to assess ASO activity.
- Provide input into experimental design, data analysis, and communication of results to broader scientific teams.
- Maintain detailed records of experimental design and results in an electronic lab notebook.
- Support daily laboratory operation and maintenance, including preparing and ordering reagents and supplies and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- BS or MS in neuroscience, cell biology, molecular biology, or similar discipline; 2+ years of industry or academic research experience.
- Experience with RNA isolation, QPCR, and western blot; immunofluorescence staining, microscopy, and ELISAs are preferred.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Demonstrated cell culture expertise; primary cell and human iPSC cell culture experience preferred.
- Team-oriented, highly motivated, strong organization and communication in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Anticipated salary range: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00.
