Role Summary

Research Associate I/II, Proteomics — Monte Rosa Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated researcher to join the proteomics group in Boston. The role supports target identification of novel small molecule degraders, involving independent execution of experiments from sample preparation through LC-MS data acquisition, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of proteomics results. Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional drug discovery teams are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform TMT and LFQ-based quantitative proteomics experiments from cell culture compound treatment, sample preparation, nano LC-MS/MS to data analysis
• Prepare biological samples for proteomics analysis and execute protein biochemical techniques (SDS PAGE, Western blots, BCA, LC peptide fractionations)
• Work independently with minimal supervision to design, execute advanced experiments, analyze, interpret and communicate data in team meetings
• Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents and stocks

Qualifications

• BSc and/or MSc in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or related field
• At least 2 years‚Äô experience in protein mass spectrometry/proteomics in Pharma, Biotech or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with Thermo Fisher nano LC-MS instrumentation (i.e. Orbitrap-Eclipse, Orbitrap-Astral)
• Experience in protein post-translational modification analysis, protein-protein-interaction analysis, and targeted mass spectrometry analysis would be appreciated
• Proficiency in culturing mammalian cells and utilizing sterile techniques is desirable
• Critical and independent thinking. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Highly motivated, strong scientific curiosity and interest in drug discovery
