Role: 6-month research co-op focused on discovery and development of therapies targeting TGF-β signaling pathways for rare diseases. Responsibilities: conduct in vivo and ex vivo experiments, perform RNA isolation and qPCR, validate therapeutic protein activity via Western Blot and ELISA, maintain accurate laboratory records, and contribute to team discussions. Requirements: currently enrolled student pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in animal science, biology, biochemistry, or related fields; strong communication and organizational skills; willingness to learn rodent handling and dosing techniques; problem-solving aptitude. Preferred skills: prior co-op/intern experience, interest in muscle and/or bone biology, familiarity with laboratory rodents. High-Value: early-stage research, in vivo/in vitro techniques, focus on biological assays and gene expression analysis, potential to contribute to next-generation therapies for rare disorders.
