Research Associate 1, Process Analytics and Services (Analytical Sciences)

Role: Research Associate 1 supporting analytical testing and characterization within BioMarin's Process Analytics & Services team, primarily focused on biopharmaceutical process development and early clinical programs. Responsibilities: perform routine and non-routine analytical assays (HPLC/UPLC, CE, ELISA, spectrophotometry, nucleic acid tests), support method lifecycle activities (qualification, validation, troubleshooting), assist with technical documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams (Drug Substance, Drug Product, Manufacturing, Quality). Ensure compliance with GxP standards, maintain inspection-ready documentation, and support regulatory audits. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related field; 1–2 years in pharma/biotech, with hands-on experience in analytical techniques and understanding of GMP/GLP principles. Preferred skills include experience with chromatography, protein characterization, bioassays, and method lifecycle activities. High-Value: biopharma (biologics, proteins), process development, clinical trial support, GxP compliance, cross-disciplinary collaboration. Work Setup: fully onsite laboratory; may require occasional flexibility for operational needs.
