Role: Research and Development Specialist II (3rd Shift) focused on high-throughput genotyping within Bayer’s crop science division. Responsibilities: execute genotyping activities, operate and troubleshoot laboratory automation systems, support process improvements, and ensure safety and quality compliance. Tasks include managing complex instrumentation, designing experiments, and maintaining detailed records; collaborate across platforms and support continuous workflow optimization. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related fields; experience with high-throughput genotyping, laboratory automation, data analysis, and experimental design; strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills; valid driver’s license; proficiency with digital tools and workflow systems. Preferred qualifications: 1+ year in high-throughput genotyping environments, expertise in instrumentation troubleshooting, data-driven decision-making, and process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
