The Reliability Engineer drives continuous equipment and Utilities systems reliability improvements by coordinating technical support and managing the site reliability improvement processes to reduce business risk.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP), targeting critical equipment assets for optimization/continuous improvement; train personnel on reliability processes.
- Collaborate with Facilities, Engineering, and the Maintenance Planner to enhance reliability and operational efficiency through best practices.
- Ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls, and safety systems.
- Develop solutions to repetitive failures; analyze failure history to determine reliability characteristics and define long-term solutions.
- Define and enforce Asset Operations and Asset Maintenance Plans; support Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) for new assets.
- Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA); use failure data analysis and performance metrics (asset utilization, OEE, MTBF, remaining useful life).
- Create value-added preventative maintenance tasks; select appropriate predictive and non-destructive testing methods.
- Provide reliability/maintainability specifications for new/modified installations; support acceptance testing and commissioning.
- Apply MEP best practices (e.g., predictive maintenance and telemetry sensors) and influence capital planning.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years in Reliability Engineering (preferably cGMP/pharmaceutical).
- Proficient with CMMS (e.g., Maximo).
- Six Sigma experience (beneficial).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and integrity.
