Position Summary
Under the direction of the Privacy Officer, the Regulatory Privacy Analyst provides administrative and operational support to the privacy compliance program, focusing on managing the privacy inbox, triaging inquiries, assisting with privacy impact assessments and incidents, and ensuring timely, accurate responses to employee questions.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the privacy inbox by reviewing, prioritizing, and responding to employee inquiries.
- Triage incoming questions; route complex/high-risk issues to appropriate personnel.
- Track and log inquiries with proper documentation and follow-up through resolution.
- Support privacy impact assessments (internal initiatives and third-party reviews), including requirements gathering, documenting data flows, and identifying privacy risks.
- Analyze impact of new/changing privacy requirements on operations and services.
- Assist with privacy incidents (intake, triage, documentation, coordination for investigation/resolution).
- Develop/maintain privacy response templates and FAQs.
- Support drafting/distribution of privacy communications, alerts, and guidance.
- Maintain privacy documentation (policies, procedures, inquiry logs); schedule/coordinate privacy meetings/committees.
- Support coordination and tracking of privacy trainings; maintain training records and completion tracking.
- Assist with basic monitoring (attestations and policy acknowledgments).
- Coordinate with HR, Legal, Privacy, and Operations to gather information for responses.
- Perform additional privacy/data protection duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Healthcare, Law, Compliance, or related field.
- 3β5 years privacy/compliance/regulatory affairs/healthcare operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH; state privacy laws; FTC requirements (preferred); GDPR and other international laws (preferred).
