Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key decision-makers at transplant centers (TXC) and organ procurement organizations (OPO) to provide clinical education on Lung Bioengineering (LBE) service model, EVLP devices, and value proposition
- Train and onboard medical professionals on LBE service model and EVLP devices
- Ensure timely post-EVLP procedure communications with TXC/OPO to debrief and identify improvement opportunities
- Plan and conduct regular visits to TXC/OPO to maintain relationships, provide support, and identify process improvements
- Identify ongoing needs for TXC/OPO partners and develop solutions (e.g., workflows and communication tools)
- Develop expertise in the US lung transplant landscape and LBE services to support strategic decisions
- Serve as liaison between TXC and EVLP specialists to address clinical/technical questions
- Maintain detailed CRM (customer relationship management) database and lifecycle management
- Establish/maintain relationships with thought leaders; represent LBE at conferences/meetings/symposia and report key findings internally
- Participate in contract/agreement execution; support referrals and case debriefs to streamline workflows
- Adhere to internal processes and comply with regulatory/compliance requirements
- Support marketing strategies and communicate new/ongoing initiatives to TXC/OPO
- Identify/support case studies, abstracts, and scientific submissions
- Other duties as required
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree in scientific/clinical field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ yearsβ experience as organ procurement coordinator, thoracic transplant coordinator, or thoracic transplant medical science liaison/scientist
- Demonstrated relationship-building with TXCs and/or OPOs
- Experience training physicians in transplant/cardiothoracic space
- Proficiency in OPO processes
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel up to 60%
- Effective verbal presentation skills
- Self-directed with strong organizational/planning skills
- Familiarity with UNOS policies/procedures for lung allocation, procurement, donor management, and data reporting
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPTC or CTP certification
- Clinical/scientific acumen in thoracic surgery and/or thoracic transplant procedures
- Familiarity with transplant reimbursement process/policies
- EVLP device experience
- Veeva experience (CRM or PRB)
- Ability to forecast, maintain CRM, and analyze TXC data/dashboards
