The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for the Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ Sleep sales force within the Sales Region. The RSM is responsible, through his/her regional sales force, for the compliant promotion of Jazz Pharmaceuticals’ products to physicians and other health care providers within the geographic region. The RSM will lead and manage a team of Specialty Sales Consultants, and directly promote Jazz Pharmaceuticals products. The RSM will also manage projects involving cross-functional communication and activities.

Job Requirements / Responsibilities:
- Manage Specialty Sales Consultants with retail and specialty focus
- Recruit and select Specialty Sales Consultants in retail and specialty pharmacy distribution channels
- Provide team leadership and ensure the team performs with integrity
- Coach, train, and develop Specialty Sales Consultants (virtual and face to face)
- Provide regular verbal and written feedback on performance and development
- Know and ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Understand the regulatory environment and comply with legal/regulatory requirements (e.g., FD&C Act, Prescription Drug Marketing Act, Pharma Code, OIG guidelines)
- Promote and ensure promotion for approved indications using current company materials
- Implement the company’s marketing plan and provide direction to regional staff
- Execute launch and pull-through strategies for new products
- Formulate and direct the implementation of the region’s business plan
- Maintain expert knowledge of the region’s managed care access environment
- Partner with Managed Markets to implement and measure push/pull-through initiatives
- Establish and manage procedures/processes for communication needed to achieve region objectives
- Oversee proper utilization of corporate resources and assets
- Present a positive, professional image and ensure activities align with ethical marketing and compliance
- Maintain relationships with key opinion leaders
- Achieve sales forecasts and targets; perform activities within budget
- Perform ad-hoc special projects as requested

Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (post-graduate preferred but not required)
- 3+ years pharmaceutical sales management experience (specialty or hospital sales team preferred)
- 5+ years medical and/or pharmaceutical product sales experience, including 2–3 years specialist/hospital sales (preferably sleep and/or CNS/Neuroscience)
- Working knowledge of healthcare payment and reimbursement systems (retail, hospital, specialty)
- Proven planning and execution of successful product launches with push/pull through
- Ability to lead sales teams in a virtual environment
- Experience leading diverse sales portfolios in rare disease and retail settings
- Experience leading managed care pull-through initiatives
- Extensive travel required
