Role Summary
Regional Sales Manager, Eye Care – Ohio oversees the Ohio region (including Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, and Illinois), leads recruitment, development, and performance of Territory Managers, and drives regional sales aligned with corporate goals and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed corporate sales objectives for the region within assigned geographies.
- Plan, direct, implement, and oversee Territory Manager policies and activities for the region.
- Recruit, retain, and develop high-performing Territory Managers; assess developmental needs and provide individualized coaching.
- Drive region performance while adhering to compliance and regulatory standards; provide proactive coaching to sales teams to address deficiencies.
- Demonstrate company culture, foster a people-first, high-performing, collaborative environment, and promote accountability.
- Allocate and manage regional resources; ensure execution and pull-through based on potential and growth opportunities.
- Ensure Sales & Marketing plans are implemented effectively and aligned with corporate goals.
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership and HR to address performance gaps; analyze region data to identify opportunities.
- Establish and cultivate relationships with Eye Care community and serve as regional ambassador to customers and Senior Leadership.
- Stay updated on Eye Care marketplace developments within the region; ensure compliance with legal and regulatory policies.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 6–8 years of pharmaceutical, medical, or related sales experience with strong technical knowledge and medical terminology; Eye Care experience strongly preferred; 2–3+ years of management experience preferred. Combination of experience and/or education will be considered.
- Must live within the geography of responsibility or within reasonable driving distance.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel as required, including overnights, evenings, and weekends; extensive overnight travel expected.
- Proven track record in coaching and developing top talent; ability to assess talent to build high-performing teams.
- Leadership skills that foster growth, accountability, achievement, and alignment with organizational vision.
- Ability to drive results, set challenging objectives, and execute to achieve outcomes.
- Support for regulatory environment; act with integrity and promote compliant product usage.
- Strong business acumen, data-driven planning, and ability to uncover opportunities.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and similar databases.
- English language proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension.
