Regional Sales Manager (Chicago, IL area; reports to West Area Director)

Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed established quotas and sales revenue targets for the assigned geographical area.
- Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations for sales personnel.
- Supervise regional sales employees; conduct interviewing, hiring, training, work planning/assignment, performance appraisals, rewards/discipline, and resolution of problems.
- Assist in development of territories, forecasting, and sales quotas.
- Analyze sales data and market information to drive programs that increase sales.
- Monitor and manage area expenses within budget.
- Represent the company at regional and national trade shows.
- Communicate relevant information to sales representatives and sales leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies.
- Train new representatives on sales skills, product knowledge, and territory management.
- Coordinate with other sales managers to support corporate goals.
- Prepare oral and written reports with area sales statistics.

Qualifications / Skills
- 5+ years of sales/sales management experience.
- Proven track record in pharmaceutical/biotech sales.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Effective planning, organizational, and task management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through.
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, detail-oriented.
- Excellent facilitation and creative problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with preparing/monitoring event budgets.
- Experience with CRM, MS Office Product Suite, and Apple products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in life science or business; aesthetics or surgical sales management experience.

Additional Requirements
- Home office must be based in the Chicago, IL area; no relocation.
- Overnight travel up to 50%.

Compensation/Benefits (summary)
- Exempt role; expected pay range: $165,000; eligible for sales incentive compensation.
