Regional Sales Manager β Biologics Sales Specialist Team
Position Summary
- Lead a Regional Team of Biologics Sales Specialists; accountable for team performance and development.
- Manage/coach the team in the field and join customer meetings to provide real-time feedback.
- Execute strategic/tactical plans to deliver budgeted regional revenue; develop and communicate revenue plans, commercial strategies/tactics, and monitor leading/lagging KPIβs.
- Identify market trends, communicate internally, ensure CRM compliance (Salesforce.com), and maintain accurate revenue forecasting.
- Partner across marketing, product management, customer service, and operations to drive revenue and operational efficiency.
Essential Functions
- Lead and manage the team to meet/exceed regional revenue goals and KPIβs.
- Deliver effective sales strategies; lead regional sales personnel in alignment with Sales Director.
- Drive performance management/coaching, feedback, corrective actions, hiring, onboarding, development, and retention.
- Communicate vision/strategy; compare results to goals and take corrective actions.
- Oversee operational budget accountability and communicate incentive structure.
- Conduct field supervision (visits/observations/appraisals) and support a performance-focused culture.
- Identify market/competitive changes; develop/modify strategies and provide VOC to product marketing.
- Own monthly/quarterly/annual sales forecasts; participate in key account negotiations.
- Attend meetings and conferences; frequent regional travel; perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelorβs degree related to life sciences or equivalent; 5β8+ years progressive/relevant sales experience.
- Life sciences tools market experience (biotech/biopharma/pharma/academic), including capital equipment sales (strongly preferred).
- Prior leadership managing field-based sales reps.
- Experience selling/supporting high-value bioprocessing instrumentation (CE-based systems, micro-flow imaging, or similar) (highly desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Salesforce.com required).

- Proven leadership, team management, and budget experience.
- Strong business acumen, time management, organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize/pivot.
- Ability to work independently and communicate professionally (oral/written).
- Frequent travel across the region.
