Role Summary

Direct the sales strategy and planning for field based team by driving agreed upon short term sales targets and long-term goals and objectives. Continue to position AbbVie as a market leader and solution-provider across the stakeholder base.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit intense deep and broad market knowledge across the sector, geography and franchise(s), including Key Managed Care and Payer dynamics. Share and provide quantitative and qualitative business acumen and analysis.
  • Drive and position AbbVie in high growth. Determine franchise logical strategic next steps and deliver financial results in both top- and relevant bottom-lines.
  • Ensure all facets of the external market, segment and internal enterprise are considered in the strategy and plan setting.
  • Provide compelling coaching, mentoring and guidance across the business, including not only direct business franchise, but also cross-functional, other field teams and multiple-franchises.
  • Develop top talent, providing and supporting development and exposure opportunities.
  • Consistently model โ€œOne-AbbVieโ€ and AbbVie Ways of Working behaviors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
  • Successful Sales Management and positive track record of leading teams in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experiences such as physician/account based selling, training, managed health care and marketing.
  • Ability to set a vision and a strategy.
  • Build and inspire individuals and teams for success.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to network and partner effectively across functional areas.

  • An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.
  • These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting and specific licenses required by individual state or cities.
