The RSD will play a critical role in the successful launch and growth of Mineralys’ first commercial product within an assigned region, translating national strategy into regional execution through strong field leadership and disciplined launch execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead regional launch planning and execution to ensure successful market entry and sustained product uptake
- Translate national brand strategy into actionable regional business plans and field priorities
- Achieve/exceed sales goals, market share targets, and key performance metrics at launch and beyond
- Monitor market dynamics, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence; adjust strategy in real time
- Drive data-driven accountability and disciplined execution
- Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain 8–12 territory managers; lead, coach, and motivate the team
- Maintain high levels of disease state, clinical, and product knowledge
- Evaluate performance and coach territory managers via regular field contact; build succession plans and talent pipelines
- Develop and maintain relationships with key healthcare providers, health systems, IDNs, and strategic accounts
- Partner on customer interactions, access challenges, and account strategies; support pull-through
- Share customer insights with internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with Market Access, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Training, Operations, and HR to support launch readiness
- Provide field input into brand planning, messaging, and tactical adjustments
- Ensure activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and industry regulations
- Manage budgets/resources; maintain accurate forecasting, CRM utilization, and reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience
- 3+ years people leadership experience (district/regional manager)
- Proven success leading specialty sales teams and exceeding goals
- Prior launch experience required; first-launch/startup biotech strongly preferred
- Strongly preferred: cardiovascular, nephrology, hypertension, or related specialty experience
- Demonstrated talent recruitment/development success
- Strong business planning, analytical, and coaching skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Willingness to travel extensively within region
