Role Summary

Regional Nurse Specialist (Boston/New York) tasked with supporting prescribers, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals by providing product education, dosing guidance, adverse event management, and practical administration techniques to enable safe and effective initiation of United Therapeutics products. Territory includes ME, VT, CT, MA, RI, NH and Upstate NY.

Responsibilities

  • Educate and support prescribers, nurses and allied healthcare professionals on indications, dosing, adverse effects, and patient follow-up per good clinical practice.
  • Assist with new patient therapeutic initiation and the referral process to ensure clinicians have tools and education to start UT products safely.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Required: 5+ years of experience in cardiology or pulmonology and/or relevant nurse educator experience
  • Required: Strong teaching and presentation skills
  • Required: Ability to work as part of a larger team
  • Required: Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Required: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Required: Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Required: Driver License, valid and in-state
  • Required: Ability to travel a minimum of 80%, including overnight travel
  • Preferred: 1+ PAH Coordinator or PAH Clinical Practice experience
  • Preferred: RN licensure in at least one state (multi-state preferred)
  • Preferred: Project management skills
  • Preferred: Multilingual

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
