Role: Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD, focused on scientific exchange, research support, and congress engagement within the Chicago (IL, WI, IA, MN, SD) region. Objectives include developing relationships with Scientific Leaders (SLs), providing factual, balanced scientific information, and supporting investigator-sponsored research and clinical trial site selection. Responsibilities encompass peer-to-peer scientific discussions, addressing SL inquiries, facilitating research collaborations, and representing the company at scientific congresses. Requirements: PhD, PharmD, DNP, MD, or relevant healthcare degree; minimum 3 years of post-degree respiratory (COPD) experience; strong stakeholder management, communication, and understanding of regulatory guidelines (FDA, OIG, HIPAA). Preferred qualifications include additional field-based medical experience, research publication record, and prior industry or clinical trial site experience. The role demands up to 50% travel, virtual meeting proficiency, and residence within the territory. High-value biopharma specifics: COPD/Respiratory therapeutic area, Medical Affairs, Scientific Exchange, Investigator Support, and research engagement in a late-stage (clinical research) environment.
