Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) β Vaccines (AL, MS, AR, LA, TN)
Location/Travel:
- Covers Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Arkansas; must reside in area
- Up to 50% travel with some overnight
Responsibilities:
- Develop rapport and exchange scientific/medical information with national and regional Scientific Leaders (SLs) on vaccine-preventable diseases and Company products
- Lead peer-to-peer scientific discussions; provide a reliable medical contact for SLs
- Gather feedback/data on medical/scientific needs, priorities, and patient concerns
- Maintain current knowledge of scientific/clinical environment in Areas of Interest (AOIs)
- Address SL scientific questions and route inquiries outside scope (e.g., grants)
- Support scientific congresses and medical meetings; facilitate data exchange
- Upon request (GCSA): initiate discussions to align studies with research strategies; clarify goals of investigator-sponsored research; identify barriers to enrollment/retention
- Upon request (GCTO): recommend study sites/investigators; conduct Site Initiation Visits; support enrollment/retention
Qualifications:
- MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or DNP
- Minimum 3 yearsβ experience in vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases beyond terminal degree
- Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and relevant pharmaceutical ethical/regulatory guidelines
