Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) – Vaccines (AL, MS, AR, LA, TN)

Location:
- Covers Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Arkansas; must reside in the geographic area.
- Up to 50% travel required with some overnight.

Responsibilities:
- Develop rapport and engage national/regional Scientific Leaders (SLs) to exchange vaccine-preventable disease and Company product scientific/medical information.
- Conduct peer-to-peer discussions; maintain consistent medical contact for SLs.
- Gather feedback/data to understand SL/patient medical/scientific needs and priorities.
- Maintain current knowledge of the scientific/clinical environment within Areas of Interest (AOI).
- Address scientific questions and route SL inquiries outside scope (e.g., grants) to appropriate resources.
- Support scientific congresses/medical meetings and facilitate data exchange (Company and competitor).
- Upon request: initiate discussions with SLs/investigators for research alignment and patient enrollment/retention barrier identification.
- Upon request: recommend study sites/investigators for phase II–IV, conduct Site Initiation Visits (SIVs), and support enrollment/retention barrier identification; answer investigator questions on Company-sponsored studies.

Minimum Qualifications:
- MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or DNP.
- 3+ years post-terminal degree experience in vaccines/vaccine-preventable diseases.

Required Skills:
- Doctoral-level scientific discussions; scientific excellence and education/dialogue.
- Stakeholder management/communication/networking.
- Working knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and related regulations.
- Organize/prioritize in a changing environment.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access).

Preferred:
- Field-based medical affairs; relevant therapeutic area experience; publication record; research experience.

Required/Compensation (if applicable): Salary range $190,800–$300,300; eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive (if applicable). Comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid time off.
