Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) – Vaccines (AL, MS, AR, LA, TN)

Responsibilities
- Develop rapport and engage with national/regional Scientific Leaders (SLs) for bidirectional scientific/medical information on vaccine-preventable diseases and company products.
- Conduct peer-to-peer discussions; maintain a reliable medical contact.
- Gather feedback/data on medical/scientific needs, priorities, and patient concerns.
- Maintain current knowledge of the scientific/clinical environment in Areas of Interest (AOI).
- Answer scientific questions and route inquiries outside scope (e.g., grants) to appropriate resources.
- Support scientific congresses/medical meetings and facilitate exchange of company and competitor data.
- On request: initiate SL/investigator discussions to align AOIs with research strategies/studies; identify barriers to patient enrollment/retention.
- On request: recommend study sites/investigators, conduct Site Initiation Visits (SIVs), and address investigator questions for company-sponsored clinical studies.

Location/Travel
- Covers Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Arkansas; must reside in territory. Up to 50% travel (some overnight).

Qualifications
- Credentialed: MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or DNP.
- 3+ years beyond terminal degree in vaccines/vaccine-preventable diseases.

Required/Preferred Skills
- Doctoral-level scientific discussion; scientific excellence and education/dialogue.
- Stakeholder management/communication/networking.
- Knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and ethical pharma regulations.
- Organize/prioritize in changing environments; Microsoft Office Suite.
- Required skills: Medical Affairs, Pharmaceutical Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, Stakeholder Engagement/Management, Strategic Thinking.
- Preferred: field-based medical affairs; relevant therapeutic area experience; publications; research experience.
