Regional Medical Scientific Director (Medical Science Liaison) – Vaccines (AL, MS, AR, LA, TN)

Location:
- Covers Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Arkansas
- Must reside in the geographic area
- Up to 50% travel required with some overnight

Responsibilities:
- Develop professional rapport and engage with national/regional Scientific Leaders to provide medical/scientific information on vaccine-preventable diseases and Company products
- Conduct peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintain reliable presence so Scientific Leaders have a medical contact
- Gather feedback/data to understand medical/scientific needs, priorities, and patient concerns
- Maintain current knowledge of the scientific/clinical environment within the company’s Areas of Interest (AOI)
- Address scientific questions and direct inquiries outside role scope (e.g., grants) to appropriate resources
- Engage in scientific congresses/medical meetings to facilitate scientific and data exchange
- (Upon request from GCSA) Initiate discussions with SLs/potential investigators to align research strategies and study concepts; enhance understanding of investigator-sponsored research goals; identify barriers to patient enrollment/retention
- (Upon request from GCTO) Recommend study sites and potential investigators; conduct Site Initiation Visits (SIVs); identify barriers to enrollment/retention; address investigator questions for Company-sponsored studies

Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or DNP
- Minimum Experience & Skills:
- 3+ years experience in vaccines and vaccine-preventable diseases beyond terminal degree
- Ability to conduct doctoral-level discussions with external stakeholders
- Strategic stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills
- Working knowledge of FDA, OIG, HIPAA, and other relevant laws/ethical guidelines
- Ability to organize/prioritize and work effectively in changing environments
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
- Consistent adherence to field/corporate policies, GMSA strategy, SOPs, and GCP guidelines

Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Field-based medical affairs experience; relevant therapeutic area experience
- Demonstrated scientific/medical publication record
- Research experience

Travel Requirements:
