Key Responsibilities:
- Field-based Regional Oncology Medical Science Liaison (MSL); majority of time in the field with external customers.
- Serve as an educational resource for external Oncology stakeholders.
- Communicate scientific/medical information supporting Multiple Myeloma and future Oncology pipeline assets.
- Support safe, effective, and appropriate use of BMS medicines.
- Conduct fair and balanced scientific dialogue (scientific/clinical/safety); may include value-based discussions.
- Build relationships with community thought leaders, HCPs, and access stakeholders; answer unsolicited clinical/scientific and adverse event management questions.
- Use multiple interaction channels (face-to-face 1:1/group; virtual); proficiently use scientific resources.
- Present accurately and compliantly; assess medical/healthcare landscape; update knowledge on treatment strategies, products, unmet needs, clinical trials, and scientific activities.
- Understand competitive landscape; provide actionable medical insights to medical/commercial teams.
- Execute established medical plans; contribute to institution/account planning and medical programs; provide product/area training and scientific updates to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, or NP with relevant pharmaceutical experience; specific disease area or broad medical background.
Desired/Required Experience & Skills:
- Prior MSL experience required; at least 2 years in pharmaceutical environment.
- Disease area knowledge; scientific publications; clinical trial design; HEOR concepts; competitive/patient treatment trends.
- Excellent English (written/spoken); independent and team-oriented; translate clinical/scientific data for physicians.
- Strong communication/presentation; peer-to-peer relationship building.
- Ability to drive a company-provided car; safe driving/ethics.
Travel: Required; >60% in-field; live in assigned region.
