Role Summary
The Immunology Regional Marketing Manager (RMM) is a field-based role responsible for developing and optimizing national and regional marketing initiatives aligned with Annual Strategic Brand Plans. The RMM collaborates with cross-functional AbbVie teams and External Experts to drive insight generation and ensure effective execution within assigned geographies, while optimizing brand performance across Immunology.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing: lead compliant, timely projects through the promotional review process; manage strategy, execution, and budgeting for conventions, External Expert consulting, advisory boards, and education programming; evaluate marketing tactics and provide leadership with opportunities for brand optimization; deliver deep insights to inform strategy and resource allocation; partner with field leadership to optimize pull-through of marketing strategies; understand market drivers and competitive landscape within the geography; coordinate external vendors and internal departments (Agency Partners, Marketing, Market Research, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Ethics & Compliance, IT).
- Thought Leader Engagement: identify and strengthen relationships with External Experts, emerging leaders, and relevant associations; develop regional engagement plans and ensure consistent execution; connect AbbVie Integrated Brand Teams to opportunities for collaboration with external stakeholders, in compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in Immunology (sales, sales management, or marketing); prior Gastroenterology experience preferred
- Travel: willingness to Travel up to 75% of the time, including evenings and weekends
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements

- Mastery of verbal and non-verbal communication and presentation skills, both live and virtual
- Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment; ability to influence without direct authority
- Ability to navigate a field- and headquarters-based matrix organization to drive strategy and brand performance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products
