Role Summary

The Regional Marketing Liaison (RML) Daybue is a senior in-market role within the US commercial organization focused on commercial KOL engagement, bridging regional markets with headquarters, speaker development and refresher training for disease state and product, and supporting execution of approved educational programs. The RML develops strategies and implementation plans directed toward external stakeholders in their area and collaborates with field-based professionals and home office teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive brand advocacy; establish Acadia as a trusted partner amongst Rett Syndrome thought leaders and beyond.
  • Develop deep clinical and commercial knowledge of the Rett market and regional dynamics.
  • Manage KOL relationships, insights collection/reporting, advocacy development, speaker identification/training/management, and regional marketing efforts.
  • Execute physician engagement activities in the field and at key congresses.
  • Implement regional market development plans/tactics for pending indications/approvals.
  • Engage national and regional thought leaders to educate and promote brand offerings; identify emerging KOLs across specialties.
  • Serve as commercial liaison on thought leader engagement across ELT, Sales, Medical Affairs/MSL, and Marketing.

Regional Marketing

  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide customer insights and input on strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution.
  • Develop and execute region-specific tactics and marketing solutions addressing regional needs.
  • Manage marketing projects and budgets for regional activities.
  • Translate scientific data and market research into commercial strategy aligned to Daybue.
  • Provide field-based training for sales when needed and balance customer-facing time with project management.
  • Coordinate accounts with all matrix partners and align top accounts with regional priorities.

Peer to Peer Program Management

  • Create branded and unbranded speaker program content; develop physician speakers for disease-state and product education.
  • Provide refresher and follow-up training to speakers on approved materials.
  • Ensure compliant execution of speaker programs and monitor speaker performance at live programs.
  • Provide field-based training to speakers as needed.

HCP Congresses Planning & Execution

  • Lead planning and execution of Acadia’s presence at national and regional conferences in collaboration with home office marketing.
  • Identify opportunities to partner with professional associations to drive education.
  • Formalize meetings with senior leadership and KOLs (live, virtual, Congress).

Insight Generation

Identify regional clinical dynamics by leading advisory boards and sharing best practices. Generate insights from data and research, translating them into external strategy and tactics. Collaborate with internal functions to facilitate market development for in-line and pipeline assets. Ensure compliance with Medical Legal Review (MLR) processes and measure impact of TL marketing activities, adjusting as needed. Manage regional thought leader engagement budgets and vendors.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, health care, or business administration, or equivalent experience. Strong biopharmaceutical background in sales, training, thought leader liaison, or marketing. Minimum 8 years in Neurology; rare disease and pediatric neurology strongly preferred.
  • Scientific and clinical acumen; ability to engage national KOLs; vendor/budget management; executive presence; influence without authority; strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and discuss complex scientific concepts; thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence senior leaders; ability to create and communicate a clear vision and align resources.
  • Field-based role with approximately 60% local/regional travel; proximity to a major airport required.
  • Experience with thought leader engagement, ad boards, and speaker bureaus preferred; experience with agency partners and MLR processes.
  • Ability to inform strategies, develop tactics, and execute plans under tight timelines; strong business acumen and market understanding.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; self-driven with strong planning and organizational skills; collaborative with multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, health care, or business administration.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, kneel, crouch, see, talk, and hear in office and remote work settings. Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Travel by car or airplane up to 60% of the time; may require overnight travel and after-hours work.
