Regional Hospital Lab Director

Role: Regional Hospital Laboratory Director overseeing hospital labs within the Charlotte, NC market. Responsible for ensuring quality, compliance, staffing, financial health, and operational efficiency across multiple hospital laboratory sites. Collaborates with hospital administration, medical directors, and quality teams to meet regulatory standards and service expectations. Manages implementation of new testing methods, process improvements, and client relations, while maintaining compliance with CAP, CLIA, ISO, and state regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, or medical laboratory science; 5+ years of supervisory or management experience in clinical labs; ASCP or AMT certification. Preferred: Master’s degree, extensive leadership in microbiology, pathology, or high-volume hospital labs; familiarity with automation, supply chain, and vendor management. High-value specifics: Experience in large hospital environments, knowledge of laboratory information systems, and expertise in regulatory standards. The role requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple sites and teams in a complex clinical setting.
