Director, Field Reimbursement (Regional Director) – Neuro
Role Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and optimize a team of Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs) supporting the launch and growth of a rare disease therapy.
- Drive patient access across a complex reimbursement landscape, including buy-and-bill, white bagging, and alternate sites of care.
- Ensure compliant field execution within a REMS program.
- Translate access strategy into field execution with cross-functional partners (Market Access, Patient Services, Sales, Medical Affairs, Trade).
- Lead, coach, and develop FRMs; set performance expectations aligned to launch objectives.
- Provide ongoing field coaching (joint engagements, strategic account planning); identify skill gaps and implement development plans.
- Translate brand/market access strategy into actionable field reimbursement tactics.
- Ensure field readiness: coverage policy education; prior authorization and appeals strategy; coding, billing, and claims submission.
- Provide reimbursement/channel expertise across medical benefit (buy-and-bill), white bagging/specialty pharmacy distribution, and alternate sites of care.
- Ensure compliant REMS execution; operationalize REMS processes in provider offices; support provider education; identify and escalate REMS barriers.
- Build relationships with key provider accounts, office staff, specialty pharmacies, and infusion providers; support complex patient cases.
- Partner cross-functionally to inform access program design and forecasting.
- Define and track KPIs (e.g., time to fill, approval rates, patient conversion, site-of-care shifts, FRM activity/impact); deliver leadership updates on access performance and risks.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive industry/relevant professional experience.
- 5+ years of direct people management experience managing a field reimbursement or sales team.
- Buy-and-bill and/or specialty pharmacy product experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with REMS programs.
- Background in neurology.
- Experience navigating white bagging and site-of-care identification/optimization.
