Role Summary

Regional Business Manager in the Minnesota, South Dakota, North Dakota, Nebraska, and Iowa territory within the Gastroenterology Rare Disease Sales Team. Responsible for driving product demand in targeted physician offices and clinics and impacting patient lives.

Responsibilities

  • Clearly understand and implement the marketing plan, articulate the brand value proposition, and use on-label materials to attain sales/patient objectives.
  • Communicate disease, product, and formulary information truthfully and in compliance with policies and laws.
  • Manage territory to maximize sales performance across appropriate HCPs and settings.
  • Analyze local/regional trends to build long and short-term goals and a successful business plan.
  • Work compliantly in a matrix environment and protect confidential patient information.
  • Create productive internal partnerships to align selling plans with company and territory goals.
  • Seek clarification from management when uncertain about potential compliance issues.

Accountabilities

  • Meet regularly with targeted HCPs and staff to assess needs and discuss product applicability.
  • Use a consultative, technical, solution-oriented selling model for patients with Short Bowel and/or Ulcerative Colitis.
  • Focus on achieving the greatest positive patient impact.
  • Manage territory marketing and promotional speaker program budget in compliance with policies.
  • Share best practices and participate in regional/national meetings.
  • Document account profiles and activities in the CRM system.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelorsโ€™ degree โ€“ BA/BS
  • Minimum of 5+ years of pharmaceutical or medical device sales and/or relevant clinical or industry experience
  • Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers
  • Ability to develop and apply clinical and business expertise, and effective selling skills
  • Strong verbal, influencing, presentation and written communication skills
  • Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and responsibilities
  • Commitment to learning and self-improvement

  • Execution of marketing strategies at the local level (preferred)
  • Business and strategic planning to identify opportunities and adapt to market changes (preferred)
  • Understanding of managed care landscape and its impact on business (preferred)

  • Specialty injectable sales (preferred)
  • Selling products via specialty infusion pharmacies (preferred)

  • Orphan drug and highly specialized medical sales experience (preferred)
  • Ability to analyze complex technical data and develop strategic plans (preferred)

  • None specified beyond required degree in Qualifications
