Role Summary

The Regional Business Leader, Sleep Disorders, drives the execution of regional sales strategies to launch a first-in-class orexin therapy for narcolepsy type 1. This role builds and leads a team of sales representatives to achieve or exceed company objectives, ownership of prioritization, and development of a high-performance, results-oriented culture. This position includes hiring, leading, and developing a new team to meet set expectations.

Responsibilities

  • The Regional Business Leader leads compliant execution of business strategies to deliver or exceed regional sales expectations.
  • Recruits, hires, and coaches a sales team to deliver exceptional performance.
  • Translates vision to the team, builds a high-performance culture, eliminates barriers, and focuses on both long-term strategy and immediate results.
  • Fosters learning and growth, partners with HR and Commercial Learning & Development for ongoing capability building and development.
  • Provides consistent expectations and ongoing feedback via performance management with measurable outcomes and actionable development plans.
  • Prioritizes field coaching to elevate selling skills and territory management, and upholds compliance with SOPs.
  • Implements regional marketing strategies and manages resources, including speaker programs, to meet objectives.
  • Develops and executes regional and representative sales plans, analyzes performance to identify growth opportunities, and optimizes the sales budget.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of key KOLs, HCPs,Sleep Centers, institutions, and payor landscape; collaborates with field partners to achieve goals.
  • Plans and conducts POA/launch meetings aligned with marketing plans; leverages AI/digital tools for efficiency; communicates insights across teams.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree – BS/BA
  • 5+ years of management-level experience in pharmaceutical/immunology/biologic-biotech/medical device industries with leadership in district management, specialty accounts, marketing management, training, or product management, or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative with proven success in selling and healthcare industry understanding.
  • Demonstrated business and strategic planning skills to identify opportunities and adapt to market changes.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, delegate, and motivate a sales team with timely feedback.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data to develop strategic actions.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
  • Comfort with emerging technologies, adaptability to digital tools, and openness to AI-enabled processes.
  • Must reside in or near the assigned geography.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License
