About the Role
- Own and implement company priorities to maximize sales results, including supporting a new product launch in a developing therapeutic area.
- Hire, lead, and develop a new team of representatives; instill a culture of high performance, accountability, and compliant behavior.
How you will contribute
- Recruit, develop, retain, mentor, and lead a diverse team to deliver strategic sales objectives; establish accountability cadence, supervise KPIs, and engage all performance levels.
- Model leadership by encouraging shared vision, setting clear expectations, enabling others to act, and improving processes by challenging the status quo.
- Develop, implement, and cultivate customer-centric business plans with customer engagement and cross-functional partners to optimize customer experience and product demand.
- Champion a customer-centric, results-oriented culture where teams speak up, solve problems, collaborate, compliantly experiment, and “fail forward.”
- Develop and implement market-based business strategies to achieve sales objectives and maximize exposure/opportunities; use data and account analysis.
- Evaluate business opportunities/strategies and provide recommendations to RSD and district sales team.
- Implement sales and marketing programs supporting U.S. growth in assigned district.
- Ensure full compliance of selling activities with all State and Federal regulations.
- Provide strategic input to Marketing to develop/evolve the marketing plan.
- Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and manage local/national account partnerships to maximize access and sales.
- Serve as liaison with internal partners and coordinate with Regional/National Account Managers and Manage Markets partners.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA)
- 5+ years of management experience in pharma/immunology/biologic-biotech/medical device industries (e.g., district/specialty account, marketing, product management) or equivalent.
- Prior pharmaceutical sales representative experience with proven success.
- Business/strategic planning skills; adaptability to changing market conditions.
- Ability to coach, delegate, and motivate a sales team with timely feedback.
- Ability to analyze complex data to develop strategic, actionable plans.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
- Comfort with emerging technologies; adaptability to digital tools and openness to AI-enabled processes.
- Must reside in or near assigned geography.
Preferred
- MBA or Master’s Degree; people leadership experience
- Established relationships with medical dermatologists
- Account-based sales (hospital/health system/large group practice)
- Experience in Immunology/Dermatology or Gastroenterology
- Product launch experience
Travel Requirements
- Travel 50–75% (including overnights)
- Ability to drive or fly to meetings/client sites and attend local/national meetings/training
Compensation and Benefits (as stated)
- Virginia – Virtual; U.S. base salary range: $176,000.00–$242,000.00
- May be eligible for incentives and benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, holidays, well-being benefits, sick time (up to 80 hours/year), and paid vacation (up to 120 hours for new hires)
