Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, retain, mentor, and lead a diverse team to deliver on strategic sales objectives; set and supervise KPIs and establish a cadence of accountability.
- Model leadership by encouraging shared vision, communicating expectations, promoting accountability, enabling others to act, and improving processes.
- Develop, implement, and cultivate a customer-centric business plan with customer engagement and cross-functional partners to optimize customer experience and product demand.
- Champion a customer-centric culture of results-oriented action; encourage teams to speak up, solve problems, collaborate, experiment compliantly, and “fail forward.”
- Develop and implement market-based business strategies to achieve sales objectives, maximize exposure, and build product opportunities; build business plans using data and account/market analysis.
- Proactively evaluate business opportunities and recommend solutions to business challenges.
- Implement sales and marketing programs to support U.S. growth in the assigned district.
- Hold self and team accountable for achieving sales and Takeda objectives.
- Ensure full compliance of selling activities with applicable State and Federal regulations.
- Provide strategic input to Marketing to develop and evolve the marketing plan.
- Build relationships with key local/regional/national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in assigned therapeutic areas.
- Serve as liaison with internal business partners and collaborate with other sales/marketing personnel.
- Work with Regional and National Account Managers and Manage Markets partners to address managed market issues and maximize sales/product access.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
- 5+ years of management-level experience in pharma/immunology/biologic-biotech/medical devices (e.g., district/specialty account, marketing, or product management) or equivalent.
- Recent dermatology experience and established relationships with medical dermatologists.
- Prior pharmaceutical sales representative experience with a proven track record.
- Demonstrated business and strategic planning skills.
- Ability to coach, delegate, and motivate a sales team with timely feedback.
- Ability to analyze complex data to develop strategic, actionable direction.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
- Comfortable with emerging technologies; adaptable to digital tools; openness to AI-enabled processes.
- Must reside in or near the assigned geography.
Preferred
- MBA or Master’s degree.
- People leadership experience.
- Established relationships with medical dermatologists.
- Account-based sales experience (e.g., hospital/health system/large group practice).
- Experience in Immunology/Dermatology or Gastroenterology.
- Product launch experience.
