Role Summary

Regional Business Director (RBD) to lead commercial activities for an assigned geography, establish a team of Account Managers, execute marketing strategies, and ensure a successful launch. The RBD will supervise and lead a digitally-enabled salesforce, with all representatives aligned to geographical boundaries, and will promote AUVELITY for major depressive disorder in adults and potential future indications. This is a field-based role requiring travel to develop internal and external relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise operations of the Region including driving results, hiring and coaching, account manager development, performance management, and the assignment of priority accounts within the medical community
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Region balancing live/virtual interactions and prioritizing team efforts
  • Plan, organize and drive performance to reach the region's business potential through coaching and influence of direct reports
  • Establish and maintain effective communication among Region members across cross-channel stakeholders in the Accounts and Market Access team
  • Maintain technical expertise to respond accurately to questions regarding products, marketing, policies, and business-related issues
  • Work with direct reports to understand and execute established expectations
  • Coach and develop SAMs to improve selling skills, product knowledge and capabilities; lead by example in live and virtual engagements
  • Plan and conduct plan-of-action meetings with Region and Market Access teams
  • Develop and implement Region business plan, manage Region budget and overall responsibility for P&L aligned with Regional and National expectations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies and processes
  • Overnight travel as needed
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • BA or BS required; advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of field leadership experience and/or payer account management and/or demonstrated sales success with increasing responsibility
  • Pharma/biotech/medical marketing or sales experience preferred with 3–5 years in a position with first-line leadership
  • Proven ability to lead others through coaching and influence
  • Experience delivering results and developing others to their potential
  • Proven track record in attracting and retaining top talent
  • Current or recent Psychiatry disease experience strongly preferred
  • Successful launch experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to strategize within teams using differential resources to achieve goals
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment
  • Must live within the territory
  • Comfortable with uncertainty and high expectations
  • Patient support services experience a plus
  • Strong digital marketing aptitude
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
