Role Summary
Regional leadership role responsible for directing commercial activities in an assigned geography, building and leading a team of Account Managers, executing marketing strategies, and ensuring a successful product launch. The Regional Business Director (RBD) will supervise a salesforce aligned to geographical boundaries, champion AUVELITY for major depressive disorder in adults, and assess local market dynamics to inform strategy. This field-based role requires travel to develop internal and external relationships.
Responsibilities
- Supervise operations of the Region including driving results, hiring and coaching, account manager development, performance management, and prioritizing key accounts within the medical community
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the Region with the right balance of live/virtual interactions and prioritized team efforts
- Plan, organize, and drive performance to maximize regional business potential through coaching and influence of direct reports
- Establish and maintain effective communication across cross-channel stakeholders in Accounts and Market Access
- Maintain technical expertise to respond accurately to questions regarding products, marketing, policies, and business issues
- Work with direct reports to understand and execute established expectations; coach and develop selling skills and product knowledge
- Lead by example through coaching direct reports in live and virtual engagements
- Plan and conduct plan-of-action meetings with Region and Market Access teams
- Develop and implement Region business plan, manage Region budget, and oversee P&L aligned with Regional and National expectations
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and processes
- Overnight travel as required by business needs

Qualifications
- Required: BA or BS; advanced degree preferred
- Required: 5+ years of field leadership experience and/or payer account management and/or demonstrated sales success with increasing responsibility
- Preferred: pharmaceutical/biotech or medical marketing/sales experience with 3β5 years in a position with first-line leadership
- Required: proven ability to lead others to success through coaching influence
- Required: track record of delivering results and developing others to their potential
- Required: proven ability to attract and retain top talent
- Preferred: current or recent Psychiatry disease experience
- Preferred: successful launch experience
- Required: ability to strategize within teams using differential resources to reach business goals
- Required: ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines
- Required: must reside within the territory
- Required: comfortable with uncertainty and high expectations
