Role Summary

Regional Business Director (RBD) to lead commercial activities for an assigned geography, establish a team of Account Managers, execute marketing strategies, and ensure a successful launch. The RBD will supervise and lead a salesforce supported by a sophisticated digital infrastructure, with all reps aligned to geographical boundaries. This field-based role requires travel to develop internal and external relationships and to promote AUVELITY for major depressive disorder in adults and potential future indications.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise operations of the Region, including driving results, hiring and coaching, account manager development, performance management, and assignment of key "priority" accounts within the medical community
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Region, balancing live and virtual interactions and prioritizing team efforts
  • Plan, organize, and drive performance to achieve regional business potential through coaching and influence of direct reports
  • Establish and maintain effective communication among Region members across cross-channel stakeholders in Accounts and Market Access
  • Maintain technical expertise to respond accurately to questions about products, marketing, policies, and business issues
  • Work with direct reports to understand and execute established expectations
  • Coach and develop SAMs to improve selling skills, product knowledge, and capabilities; lead by example in live and virtual engagements
  • Plan and conduct plan-of-action meetings with Region and Market Access teams
  • Develop and implement Region business plan; manage Region budget and overall P&L in alignment with Regional and National expectations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and processes; actions of self and team are compliant
  • Overnight travel as needed
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Required: BA or BS; advanced degree preferred
  • Required: 5+ years of field leadership experience and/or payer account management and/or demonstrated sales success with increasing responsibility and leadership
  • Preferred: Pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales experience with 3–5 years in a first-line leadership role
  • Required: Proven ability to lead others to success through coaching influence
  • Required: Demonstrated experience delivering results and developing others to their potential
  • Required: Proven track record in attracting and retaining top talent
  • Preferred: Current or recent Psychiatry disease experience
  • Preferred: Successful launch experience
  • Required: Ability to strategize within teams using differential resources to reach business goals
  • Required: Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines
  • Required: Must live within the territory’s geography
  • Required: Comfortable with uncertainty and high expectations
  • Preferred: Patient support services experience
  • Required: Strong digital marketing aptitude
  • Required: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
