Role Summary
Regional Business Director, Advanced Lung Disease will direct and manage all critical sales activities, provide reporting and analysis support functions for the region, and support the execution of the regional business objectives. The role will identify market opportunities and analyze team effectiveness, as well as develop solutions for the region. You are a strategic, results-driven sales leader capable of coaching in the field, partnering with key opinion leaders, and presenting insights to senior leadership to drive growth in advanced lung disease markets.
Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed regional sales goals in line with the company incentive compensation plan to help achieve revenue targets
- Utilize account planning to maximize sales; analyze sales data to identify opportunities or issues; allocate area sales effort based on account priority
- Serve as a resource in sales planning and data interpretation for Sales & Marketing management
- Make sales calls on strategically important accounts jointly with Advanced Lung Disease Specialists and manage KOLs and key accounts
- Conduct regular sales meetings focused on progress, opportunities, competitive issues, and ongoing training
- Present to senior management regarding sales trends, market characteristics and resource needs
- Assist in development of sales goals, training programs, incentive plan design, and sales force alignment
- Stay current with PH-ILD and IPF community news, including literature reviews and attendance at regional and national symposia
- Conduct interviews, hire decisions, salary recommendations, monitor and assign work, coach and develop employees; conduct performance evaluations
- Perform regular field rides with direct reports
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree in science, nursing or a clinical related degree; or equivalent amount of related experience
- Required: 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales
- Required: 6+ years of experience interacting with physicians, vendors, and competitors within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology market
- Required: Driver’s License - Endorsement P (Passenger); valid and in good standing
- Required: Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and platform skills
- Required: Sustained record of sales excellence with ability to explain strategies and actions that produced results
- Required: Ability to translate corporate strategy into detailed regional plans with clear drivers, tactics, and measurable outcomes
- Required: Experience using CRM and market analytics to identify trends and create action plans
- Required: Self-starter with humility; drives outcomes while listening, learning, and elevating others
- Required: Ability to present market trends and needs to senior leadership
- Required: Creative problem-solving, strategic thinking, and independent judgment
- Required: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Required: Knowledge of cardiovascular and/or pulmonary market
- Required: Leadership capability to inspire high-performing sales teams and foster accountability

Additional Requirements
