Role Summary

Regional Access Manager for the West region, a hybrid role with remote work and headquarters presence in Watertown, MA. Responsible for proactively and reactively engaging with assigned health care providers, educating on payer policies, and supporting patient access and HCP education to execute strategic plans.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams on overall account and territory strategy to maximize knowledge on payer policy and processes.
  • Support patients pull-through with appropriate access education.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the US market access landscape, including payer policies, prior authorization, denials, appeals, and related education.
  • Create short-term and long-term strategic account plans to increase knowledge and access confidence for key accounts.
  • Collaborate with Patient Services and Orsini Specialty Pharmacy on case management related to HCP education and patient pull-through.
  • Assess key metrics including time to therapy to support ongoing innovation and meet performance objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related business, healthcare, or scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 10–12 years' experience in the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with specialty pharmacy and buy/bill networks.
  • Understanding of the access process from Rx to shipment.
  • Experience with products requiring prior authorization and understanding of related billing, coding, and in-office support.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, inside and outside the company.
  • Ability to educate physicians and other healthcare professionals with confidence and expertise in an office procedural environment.
  • Strong rapport-building and active listening skills.
  • Problem solver with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
