Role Summary

Regional Access Manager, US Central responsible for proactively and reactively engaging with assigned health care providers, educating cross-functional teams on payer policies, and executing strategic access plans within the central US region. Requires strategic mindset, collaboration, and a culture of ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams on overall account and territory strategy to maximize knowledge of payer policy and processes.
  • Support patients’ pull-through with appropriate access education.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the US market access landscape, including payer policies, prior authorization, denials, appeals, and related education to navigate access.
  • Create short-term and long-term strategic account plans to increase customer knowledge and access confidence for key accounts.
  • Collaborate with Patient Services and Orsini Specialty Pharmacy on case management needs related to HCP education and patient pull-through.
  • Assess key metrics including time to therapy to support ongoing innovation and exceed performance objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related business, healthcare, or scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 10–12 years’ experience in the healthcare and/or pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with specialty pharmacy and buy/bill networks.
  • Understanding of the access process from Rx to shipment.
  • Experience with products requiring prior authorization and knowledge of related billing, coding, and in-office support.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, inside and outside the company.
  • Ability to educate physicians and other healthcare professionals with confidence in an office procedural environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and active listening skills.
  • Problem solver with a sense of urgency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
