Reference Test Clerk

Role: Onsite Lab Support Clerk responsible for specimen accessioning, preparation, and data entry in a high-throughput diagnostic lab environment. Objectives include ensuring specimen accuracy, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining workflow efficiency. Responsibilities encompass processing biological samples, labeling, packing, shipping, and updating patient information; communicating with client staff; and performing special services like centrifuging or splitting samples. Requirements: High School diploma or GED; at least 1 year in laboratory, accessioning, or production roles; strong organizational, attention to detail, and data entry skills; ability to lift 40 lbs.; comfort with biological specimens and team environments; MS Office proficiency. Preferred: 2+ years in healthcare or patient-facing roles; experience with biological specimens handling. Biopharma specifics: supports diagnostic testing, specimen integrity, and compliance; operates in a regulated clinical lab setting; contributes to quality and accuracy of healthcare testing. Collaboration: interface with client offices and internal lab teams. Work setup: onsite in Winston Salem, NC; schedule Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, plus every third Saturday morning; vaccination required.
