The Position
- Director, Real World Evidence (RWE) leads the development and execution of RWE for the assigned therapeutic area or function area as the principal investigator on real world evidence studies.
- Serves as scientific leader and liaison with NNI stakeholders across Clinical, Medical and Regulatory Affairs (CMR), Market Access and Public Affairs, and global counterparts in Epidemiology, Data Science, and Real-World Evidence.
- Leads the study team; communicates RWE project execution to internal and external stakeholders; manages partner relationships, vendors, and strategic collaborations.
- Acts as lead researcher and works with external experts/vendors and internal functions (medical affairs, biostatistics, data science) to execute studies.

Essential Functions
- Leads and manages execution of all assigned RWE within the therapeutic area (internal, partners, vendors)
- Utilizes NN Real World Data platform, partnership platforms, and analytic tools
- Develops/maintains stakeholder relationships to optimize utility of real-world data (RWD) within USO
- Mentors junior staff
- Communicates RWE internally and to customers/scientific community via publication and conferences
- Serves as reviewer for the CDSE Protocol Review Committee
- Acts as subject matter expert in methodological/advanced analytic functions; consults/collaborates to provide portfolio-aligned solutions

Qualifications
- 8–10+ years leading RWE development
- 8–10+ years in key stakeholder engagement roles
- Experience with RWE methodologies and advanced analytics
- Demonstrated research accomplishments (peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations)
- Leadership, communication, critical thinking; strong knowledge of real-world databases
- Excellent process/project management; ability to manage large project volumes with triage/judgment
- 8+ years researching using real-world data for clinical and business decision-making
- PhD preferred or Master’s required (e.g., epidemiology, biostatistics, health services research, health economics)
- Strong business acumen; team player; strategic thinking

Physical Requirements
- 10–20% overnight travel
