Reagent Buyer & Planner
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, reagents, consumables, and packaging components.
- Maintain supplier pricing, lead times, and purchasing parameters in NetSuite.
- Plan and manage inventory to support reagent manufacturing schedules and customer demand.
- Use NetSuite MRP to generate and execute purchasing and replenishment plans.
- Monitor supplier deliveries, open orders, and lead times for on-time availability.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials and verify shipments against POs, packing slips, and Certificates of Analysis (CoA).
- Coordinate incoming inspection and release with Quality and Manufacturing.
- Manage temperature-sensitive shipments (ambient, refrigerated, frozen, dry-ice).
- Maintain accurate item master records and inventory data in NetSuite (UOM, lead times, storage conditions, supplier info).
- Ensure data integrity across purchasing, planning, inventory, and manufacturing modules.
- Generate inventory, purchasing, and supplier performance reports.
- Assist with internal/external audits and support compliance with quality system requirements.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
- 2+ years in purchasing, inventory control, material planning, receiving, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in biotechnology/life sciences/diagnostics/pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing.
- Hands-on NetSuite experience; strong inventory control, MRP, and purchasing knowledge.
- Inventory methods (cycle counting, ABC analysis); lot-/expiration-controlled materials handling experience.
- Strong analytical/organizational/problem-solving skills; can implement scalable solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
Compensation Range: $86K - $127K
