Role Overview
- Drive sales and territory growth for narcolepsy type 1 through effective execution of sales strategies and tactics.
- Collaborate with the Regional Business Leader and cross-functional teams to educate healthcare providers (HCPs) and support appropriate patient access to a new therapeutic option after federal approval.
- Build relationships with targeted HCPs and accounts within the assigned geographic territory; generate demand post-regulatory approval by providing clinical information and product/disease-state education (orexin system, narcolepsy type 1).

How You Will Contribute
- Results-focused execution of sales effort; deliver monthly/quarterly/annual goals using approved, on-label materials.
- Build and maintain specialty customer engagement; educate sleep specialists, neurologists, pulmonologists, sleep centers, and clinic staff.
- Analyze market trends and use data for territory planning and strategic priorities.
- Communicate effectively; use CRM for account profiles and pre-/post-call activities.
- Manage a territory budget in line with compliance policies.
- Partner cross-functionally (Patient Access, Market Access, Marketing) to align strategies and provide feedback.
- Uphold ethical standards and follow all applicable compliance policies, guidelines, training, and laws.

Required Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA).
- 3+ years successful pharma/biotech/medical device selling and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; or 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence multiple decision-makers.
- Business acumen, strategic planning, territory/account management, and ability to interpret analytical data.
- Collaboration in a matrix environment; payer access/reimbursement knowledge at territory/region/state levels.
- Adaptability and learning agility; must reside within or near the territory.

Preferred
- 5+ years pharma sales (preferably rare disease or sleep disorders).
- Experience coordinating with patient access/market access; consultative/needs-based selling; regulated marketplace experience; emerging tech/digital tools/AI-enabled processes.

Licenses/Travel/Training
- Valid driver’s license; drive/fly to accounts; 25–50% overnight travel.
- Successful completion of mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
