Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all business-related activities within geographic responsibility, including achievement of sales goals through executing brand strategies.
- Focus call points on target physicians treating Lysosomal Storage Disorders; provide education to support early diagnosis and/or treatment.
- Conduct in-depth business planning with regional counterparts to allocate appropriate disease state and product education across the geography.
- Engage customers to create disease state awareness within multidisciplinary healthcare specialties and build support for the LSD product portfolio.
- Educate and inform HCPs on the LSD product portfolio: describe signs and symptoms, support differential diagnosis, and educate on appropriate Takeda treatment options.
- Collaborate with the LSD cross-functional team and internal business partners to coordinate efforts and enhance business outcomes.
- Strategically analyze and apply market data to assess business opportunities/priorities, including regional healthcare market and patient dynamics.
- Attend conferences/exhibits; plan and execute disease state and product programs using approved vendors.
- Partner with and motivate extended team members to improve performance, fostering engagement and accountability.
- Integrate and prioritize approved US LSD sales leads and tactics to optimize customer engagement and account outcomes.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 3+ years of successful selling experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device and/or relevant clinical/industry experience; OR 2+ years of successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary internal and external teams.
- Strong marketplace acumen; consistent track record of success.
- Strategic territory management; experience working within a complex sales model.
- Rare disease experience preferred; complex sales model experience required.
- Biotech/biologics/specialty pharmacy experience helpful.
- Buy & bill product selling/account management preferred.
- Understand payer access and reimbursement; experience managing and communicating complex reimbursement issues.

- 5+ years pharmaceutical sales experience, preferably rare disease or sleep disorders.
- Experience coordinating with patient access and market access teams.
- Relevant clinical/industry experience; consultative/needs-based selling.
- Experience leveraging emerging technologies, digital tools, and openness to AI-enabled processes.
Travel/Training:
- Live in territory; work evenings/weekends as needed; extensive travel (~50%); must be authorized and able to drive a company leased vehicle or rental.
- Position contingent on completing mandatory product training (written/oral exams). Training includes live instruction, independent study, role play (up to 8 hours/day; 40 hours/week).
