Responsibilities:
- Lead all business-related activities within assigned geographic responsibility, including achievement of sales goals through execution of brand strategies.
- Focus call points on target physicians treating Lysosomal Storage Disorders (LSD) and provide education to support early diagnosis and/or treatment.
- Conduct in-depth business planning in partnership with regional counterparts to allocate appropriate disease-state and product education.
- Drive advanced customer engagement to create disease-state awareness within multidisciplinary healthcare specialties and build support for the LSD portfolio.
- Educate and inform HCPs on the LSD portfolio: describe signs and symptoms, explain differential diagnosis, and educate on appropriate Takeda treatment options.
- Collaborate with the LSD cross-functional team and internal business partners to coordinate efforts and enhance business outcomes.
- Strategically analyze and apply market data to identify business opportunities and priorities, considering regional market and patient dynamics.
- Attend conferences/exhibits; plan and execute disease-state and product programs using approved vendors.
- Partner with and motivate extended team members to improve performance and foster engagement and accountability.
- Integrate/prioritize approved US LSD sales leads and tactics with key stakeholder activities to optimize customer engagement and account outcomes.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3+ years successful selling experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device (or relevant clinical/industry experience) OR 2+ years successful selling experience at Takeda.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary internal and external teams.
- Strong marketplace acumen; consistent track record of success.
- Rare disease experience preferred; complex sales model experience required.
- Demonstrated strategic territory management success; experience working within a complex sales model.
- Biotech/biologics/specialty pharmacy experience helpful.
- Buy & bill selling/account management experience preferred.
- Understand payer access and reimbursement at regional/state/local levels; experience managing/communicating complex reimbursement issues.

Key Skills:
- Experience in a highly regulated marketplace.
- Strong questioning/exploratory skills in customer calls.
- Technical competence (Excel/CRM/data analysis).
- Consultative selling and strong organizational skills.
- Proven analytical capability; large and small group presentations; teamwork and collaboration.

Preferred:
- 5+ years pharmaceutical sales experience (preferably rare disease or sleep disorders).
- Experience with patient access and market access coordination for pharmaceutical/biologic products.
- Relevant clinical/industry experience; consultative/needs-based selling.
- Experience leveraging emerging technologies, digital tools, and AI-enabled processes.

Travel Requirements:
- Must live in territory.
- Work evenings/weekends as needed.
- Extensive travel (50%)
- Must be authorized and able to drive a company leased vehicle or rental.

Training Requirements:
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of mandatory product training with written and oral examinations.

Compensation/Benefits (explicitly stated):
- U.S. base salary range: $148,000.00 - $203,500.00.
- May be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives.
- May be eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan and match, short/long-term disability, basic life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, well-being benefits; up to 80 hours sick time/year; up to 120 hours paid vacation for new hires.
