Rare Disease Business Manager - HAE (Phoenix, AZ territory; includes AZ and NM)
Responsibilities:
- Drive franchise sales growth by executing sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the Regional Business Lead and customer-facing teams to support patients through their HAE journey.
- Drive demand generation focused on healthcare professionals (HCP education on Takedaβs HAE portfolio).
- Manage the HAE marketplace complexity (distribution and site of care) with daytime, evening, and weekend activity as needed.
- Work closely with third-party specialty pharmacies to ensure patient access to therapy.
- Compliantly adhere to all policies/guidelines; maintain high customer satisfaction and represent Takeda culture/values.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Clinical sales background; Bachelor of Science minimum.
- 5+ years of successful relevant healthcare sales experience managing and accountable for own business.
- Knowledge/experience with complex selling model (highly desirable).
- Biotech experience (desirable).
- Results-driven with a track record of results and compliance.
- Business acumen and sales process knowledge.
- Organizational and territory planning skills.
- Ability to acquire/analyze customer data to develop sales strategies.
- Change agility experience.
- Demonstrated influence of HCPs to prescribe and launch (plus).
- Travel 50% including overnight and occasional weekends; support immunology conventions/meetings.
- Authorization and ability to drive a company-leased vehicle or rental.
Training Requirements:
- Employment contingent on passing mandatory product training (written/oral exams).
- During training: non-exempt, eligible for overtime only during training; not eligible for sales incentives/production bonuses.
- Training time: live instruction/independent study/role play; up to 8 hours/day and 40 hours/week.
- After passing exams: transition to exempt status; bi-weekly pay; eligible for sales incentives/contests.
