Role Summary

The R&D Regulatory Affairs Finance team provides financial leadership and strategic planning support for Regulatory Affairs, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. This role focuses on financial planning and analysis for Plan, Update, LRP, and Latest Best Estimate (LBE) within Regulatory Affairs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the budget in the Plan/LRP/Update/LBE planning cycles for Regulatory Affairs, ensuring accurate expense forecasts and providing financial guidance to business personnel to ensure policy compliance.
  • Analyze components of Plan/LRP/Update/LBE submissions and lead Senior Management review meetings.
  • Oversee financial close activities, including accruals and reclasses; ensure monthly results are delivered accurately and timely with executive summaries for senior management/VPs.
  • Provide financial guidance to Regulatory Affairs leadership; translate plans into financial impact understandable at the senior management level.
  • Maintain controls to protect asset integrity and ensure GAAP and corporate financial policy compliance.
  • Assist with financial aspects of key functional projects, systems initiatives, and integration activities to ensure finance requirements are implemented and process efficiencies realized.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Business leaders using strong communication, analytical, leadership, and judgment skills.
  • Support leadership with the ability to influence without direct reporting, operate independently, implement process improvements, and adjust priorities to achieve objectives.
  • Oversee and support the professional development, performance management, and daily work of one direct report.

Qualifications

  • Bachelorβ€šΓ„Γ΄s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive related experience.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, implement improvements, and prioritize with speed and agility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all management levels, with the ability to listen and influence others who do not report directly.
  • Proficient Excel skills; knowledge of SAP and BPC a plus.
