R&D External Innovation Sourcing Project Director

Role: R&D External Innovation Sourcing Project Director responsible for identifying, shaping, and maturing external innovation opportunities to support Novo Nordisk's preclinical and early clinical pipeline. Responsibilities: drive sourcing of 3-5 new research projects to IND or technology implementation, develop external partnerships, shape project proposals, and facilitate absorption into R&D. Manage cross-functional projects, collaborate with internal teams (NPI, pipeline, governance) and external stakeholders (biotech, academia, VC), and contribute to portfolio decisions impacting 20-30% of early pipeline. Qualifications: Master’s degree (PhD or MD preferred), 7+ years in pharmaceutical R&D, with experience in drug discovery, translational science, or platform technologies. Proven track record in external partnership management, project execution, and strategic sourcing within biopharma.
