Job Description
- Operate cross-functionally in a collaborative manner with data scientists, senior functional leaders, and business partners.
- Consult with business users to analyze requirements and recommend solutions anticipating future business impacts.
- Develop advanced data analytical models and techniques using supervised/unsupervised ML, statistical analysis, deep learning, predictive modeling, and Gen AI.
- Build stakeholder relationships; collaborate with other statistical/data science teams while mentoring and coaching team members.
- Ensure study integrity for data presented to stakeholders; deliver work products fit for purpose across multiple use cases.
- Participate in functional innovation and process improvement initiatives (if assigned).
- Ensure adherence to federal/local regulations, GMPs, ICH Guidelines, AbbVie SOPs, and functional quality standards; stay abreast of evolving regulations related to clinical development.
- Coach and mentor junior team members.
- Identify business needs and support creation of standard KPIs, reports, and statistical analyses.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in statistics, mathematics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science or equivalent, with 4+ years (BS), 2+ years (MS), or 0+ years (PhD) related experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in R, Python, or other statistical packages; intermediate knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques.
- Intermediate proficiency with PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau, or equivalent.
- Intermediate proficiency with Dataiku, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms.
- Machine Learning and advanced analytics experience preferred.
- Strong communication (explain analytical/technical concepts in lay terms), problem-solving/analytical skills, and success managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
