Role Summary

Quality Control Technician position focused on supporting operations within the QC Inspection team, ensuring materials meet GMP production requirements, and performing tasks in a Grade D cleanroom with aseptic techniques where required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine QC support activities (e.g., housekeeping, sanitizations, glassware cleaning, sample receipt)
  • Performs sampling with minimal support
  • Support of low complexity tasks (e.g., Spectroscopy, Bioburden Testing, Incoming Inspection of Consumables)
  • Performs routine equipment maintenance with support
  • Identifies deviations and may support systematic problem solving and laboratory investigations
  • Documents and archives work in accordance with Good Documentation Practice
  • May support report writing activities
  • Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes
  • Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Education and Certifications:
    • High School Diploma required
    • Associates Degree in a scientific field preferred
  • Work Experience:
    • High School Diploma with three (3) years of relevant work experience required
    • Associates Degree with zero (0) years of relevant work experience preferred
    • Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or other regulated industry experience preferred

Skills

  • The ability to understand and execute established written instructions is essential
  • Good organizational, time management and documentation skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., email, MS Word, database management)
  • Knowledge of laboratory or manufacturing operations preferred

Education

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associates Degree in a scientific field preferred

Additional Requirements

  • 0-5% overnight travel required
  • Physical ability to climb, balance, stoop, reach, stand and walk; push, lift up to 10 pounds; close visual acuity; ability to read, write, and analyze; exposure to noise, moving parts, chemicals, odors, fumes, and dust
