Position Summary
The Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician, Sample Management & Lab Operations, supports sample handling activities and maintains laboratory readiness in compliance with cGMP requirements. Supports day-to-day QC lab operations including sample receipt, labeling, chain-of-custody, sample distribution, equipment readiness, glassware cleaning, supply restocking, solution preparation support, and general laboratory upkeep.

Key Responsibilities
Sample Management
- Receive, inspect, label, and log incoming samples per approved procedures.
- Maintain accurate chain-of-custody and sample tracking in LIMS, logbooks, or other approved systems.
- Store samples in appropriate temperature-controlled environments.
- Distribute samples to QC analysts and other testing groups.
- Support sample inventory, retention material management, and stability pull activities.
- Dispose of samples on schedule per SOPs and applicable regulations.
- Support continuous improvement of sample handling and documentation.

Laboratory Operations & Support
- Perform daily balance checks and document results per cGMP requirements.
- Standardize and verify pH meters and other routine bench equipment.
- Wash, dry, and organize glassware for QC testing teams.
- Maintain lab cleanliness and organization, including storage and waste areas.
- Monitor and restock lab supplies, reagents, PPE, and consumables.
- Assist with equipment scheduling, vendor visits, and preventive maintenance coordination.
- Support solution preparation workflows (labeling, documentation, organization).

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with QC analysts, QA, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to maintain sample flow and lab readiness.
- Communicate sample discrepancies, delays, or operational issues clearly and promptly.
- Support onboarding and training as needed.

Qualifications
Required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline or related field, or equivalent laboratory experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in a GMP, GLP, pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated laboratory environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred
- Experience with LIMS or electronic sample tracking systems.
- Prior lab support operations experience (glassware cleaning, equipment checks, inventory management, or sample handling).
- Familiarity with cGMP requirements in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device settings.

Salary Range
- $69,000 USD - $74,000 USD
