Quality Control Lab Technician
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine testing of in-process antigens and final product samples for release of veterinary vaccines.
- Perform required tests for bulk antigens, final products, and raw materials; support company/lab objectives to meet specified timelines.
- Maintain aseptic laboratory technique at all times and ensure accuracy of test results.
- Maintain accurate and concurrent testing records; ensure compliance with Company SOPs/specifications, USDA, and cGMP regulations. Assist with updating/writing/maintaining SOPs, bench records, and data entry.
- Environmental monitoring of clean rooms and personnel (assisting in and/or performing microbial and particulate tests/air sampling).
- Provide effective training as requested; confirm training completion and documentation.
Minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a team environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; capable of using a controlled informatics system.
Additional preferences:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, Virology, Bacteriology, Biology, or related field.
- Laboratory experience including cell culture and viral and/or bacterial propagation.
- Experience in biotechnology and aseptic technique.
Other information / requirements:
- Location: Winslow, ME (Onsite). Shift: Monday–Friday, 7am–3:30pm (evening, weekend, and holiday hours may be required).
- Must be able to pass a background check and gain Select Agent clearance.
- Requires personal protective equipment, including a respirator.
- Completion of Post Offer Exam, Work Simulation, or Administrative Skills Testing if applicable.
