Quality Assurance Inspector II -2nd Shift

Must be able to work 2nd Shift schedule: 3pm to 11:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Sample, inspect, and test (as applicable) incoming raw materials, packaging components, and returned goods per procedures to verify compliance to specifications.
- Ensure all phases of drug manufacturing and packaging comply with established specifications.
- Receive, inspect, release, and control labels and outserts.
- Perform room, equipment, and packaging line checks prior to each manufacturing stage.
- Prepare and deliver samples (chemical and microbiological where required) to QC; collect packaged product samples for annual stability.
- Conduct in-process testing per batch records.
- Prepare controlled/uncontrolled/packaged finished product samples for QC lab and QA retains; perform daily balance verification.
- Labeling component receipt: visual examination, counting, preliminary inspection, and sampling.
- Prepare labeling component/outsert inspection reports; quarantine and release labels; maintain incoming component logs/inventory cards; issue per packaging order and audit label room.
- Complete QA final labeled product inspection and final line clearance (labeling/packaging reconciliation) and ensure warehouse area isolation (quarantine, released, in-process, finished/packaged, returned, rejected).
- Isolate rejected material and monitor facility/product environmental operating conditions.
- Review engineering records, pest control/contractor-related records; review online batch record completeness and reconciliation/yields; verify equipment functionality during runs; maintain retention sample room.
Additional responsibilities:
- Disposition of rejected material/returned drugs per SOP; perform environmental monitoring (where applicable); testing/reporting for customer complaints; other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- High School or GED (Required).
- 2+ years experience in QA or related field (Required).
Skills/Knowledge:
- Good basic math; excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to document observations for process improvement.
Compensation/Benefits (if included): $21.00–$27.00/hour; short-term incentive/bonus or performance-based award within first 12 months; benefits including health/insurance and 401(k) matching.
